Sodo , Haiti
I often tell people and say, "The loa live in Haiti. The loa adopted Haiti as a homeland." When you are in Sodo , you feel it is true. When you ask the loa for something in Sodo, later you will see it. Something spiritual has to happen for you, when you visit Sodo. Sodo is where you go to connect to Ginen. You feel it in your spirit. If you are an international mystic and you visit Haiti, you must come to Sodo. If you don't go to Sodo, I don't see the point. Just stay home. Anyone I receive in Haiti, Sodo is essential. I was there for fete, and just returned home to the States. My mom (mambo) has a house and temple in Port au Prince, and a house in Sodo. I surprised her with my visit. She was already in Sodo when I reached Haiti. I joined her there and returned to P au P, together with her and some others after fete.
Mom is going back to Sodo today. She is going to give coffee and bread to the poor. I thank everyone who gave me something to carry to Haiti. Mom passed the clothes and items out. She knows the people there in Haiti and their needs better then I do, I I just gave them to her. She enjoys her work. She enjoys serving the loa. One day I pray I can sit down in Haiti and just serve the loa. My people will know where to find me, and my home is your home. My children and grand children ( God allowing) will have to come visit me in Haiti. I want to be where my loa are. I want to be an old , wise mambo, that is all I want to be.
